The diverse people who came into Tudor Village in 1928 and 1929 quickly moved to establish a collective community voice. In November 1929, they organized the Ozone Tudor Civic Association. The first group of officers, trustees, directors, committee members, and block captains reflected a broad inclusiveness of residents of the Village. One of the first tasks of the Civic Association was to finance its activities through initiation dues, which were 25 cents per month, and collected on a monthly basis The first dues were collected in October 1929, and totaled $83.50.
